The Treasure

Meet Ari, who received his grandfather Aryeh’s precious gold watch as a bar mitzvah gift, and who feels emotional every time his mother lights the Shabbat candles in the old candlestick. Ari shares the story of the treasured possession that his grandmother Golda buried beneath a tree during the war. Together, we journey back in time, explore the difference between personal sorrow and collective sorrow, and understand the importance, and the responsibility, that we carry to remember and honor those who perished in the Holocaust.
