As we approach the eve of Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day 5786, observed this year on Monday, April 13, 2026 (26 Nissan), we are preparing to continue the tradition of lighting a personal memorial candle in memory of someone who perished in the Holocaust.
We invite everyone to join thousands of schools, organizations, public institutions, and communities in lighting a personal memorial candle, each one honoring the memory of one of the six million who were murdered.
Each Shem VeNer memorial candle features the name of a person who perished in the Holocaust, along with personal details and a code linking to additional information about them.
Registration is now open

As every year, memorial candles will be distributed at Rami Levy branches nationwide.
